I was a green, naive, unsophisticated trainee for the position of Claims Adjuster for Commercial Union Assurance Companies. I’d never heard of such a job; however, I was a liberal arts major, needed a job, and I was offered the position at a salary of $12,500 plus a company car. And what a car! A 1980 Ford Fairmont! To be fair, it was much nicer than the school bus yellow Ford Pinto with the exploding gas tank that I had been driving,

The 45th Anniversary of my first day in insurance claims would be June 9, 2025. I’ll miss the 45th Anniversary by one month. I’m okay with that,
