Random Thoughts on the Evening of Friday, July 18, 2014~

1)            Devastated by the loss of life on MH 17 and how the loss of AIDS researchers may adversely affect the progress made on eradicating the disease.
2)            Israel vs. Hamas! Nothing justifies the killing of innocent civilians. Nothing!
3)            I enjoyed a delightful afternoon away from work; met my sister and her husband for lunch and a walk around the Leesburg outlet mall.
4)            I am so over outlet malls!
5)            Celebrated Friday by meeting my wonderful husband at Sunset Hills Winery in Loudoun County, Virginia for a tasting and sipping a glass of nectar on the deck overlooking the vineyards.
6)            Dinner at Chopsticks in downtown Winchester, Virginia. The specials are awesome!
7)            Our first ripe Persimmon Tomato! Sigh! There will be BLTs for lunch tomorrow.
8)            Contemplating turning 55 on Monday. What discounts will I get other than 10% off at TJ Maxx on Tuesdays?
9)            Focusing on our plan to relocate to the deep south within 3 years.
10)         Delighted to have my spousal unit home after a week on the road for business.
11)         Wegmans! Why aren’t all supermarkets like Wegmans?  The olive bar is a destination.
12)         Wine makes life better. Correction – good wine. There are wines that should be poured down the drain.
13)         Driving with the top down on a convertible is sheer bliss. I always want a convertible in my life.
14)         An afternoon off work for some reason feels more decadent to me than a whole day. I don’t know why. But, it does.
15)         GPS is still often wrong.
16)         I love a beautiful scarf.
17)         I still feel joy when I meet my husband for a date.
18)         Even though my early years in insurance claims caused me stress and angst, I ‘ve reached a level where I completely enjoy what I do.
19)         The sunrise is the best part of a day.
20)         I would much rather listen to the music on my iPhone than the news on the radio.
21)         Yoga keeps me centered.
22)         I love that my Mom bought an iPhone this week.
23)         Watching my cats get high on catnip is really amusing.
24)         I love to shop for artwork, furniture, shoes, lingerie, food, wine, jewelry, books, music, shoes, kitchenware, bedding, appliances, personal care products, plants, antiques, plants, mulch, cat toys, and miscellanea.
25)         The sounds and sights of moving water bring me peace.
26)         My right ankle has never recovered from the injury when I fell out of a window retrieving a bottle of wine in 1978.
27)         I would rather eat olives than cake.
28)         I am happy wherever I am.
29)         If I won a big lottery, I would have flats in NOLA, the Adriatic coast in Italy, San Francisco,  Paris, Nusa Dua in Bali, and a house on a bluff with a view of the Mississippi.
30)         I don’t understand people who refuse to go to a movie or shopping or to enjoy a meal out if they are alone. I celebrate moments of quietness when I am solitary. It is healing.
